An order has been issued by the High court for two of former Black Star player Michael Essien’s houses to be sold to pay off debts to some people he owes

According to reports, Michael has been unable to pay loans he’s taken from some financial institutions and that left creditors with no option than to seek legal options so they can get their money.

A report of the story on Dailyguidenetwork.com stated that the deputy sheriff of the High Court (Commercial Division) issued the order for the sale of two of his houses on June 12, 2024.

The site also further went ahead to publish that, they had spoken to an auctioneer who valued one of the properties between $20-$30 million but Ghbase News cannot independently confirm that claim as we have not seen the pictures of those houses, and it would be surprising if there was such an expensive house like that right here in Ghana.

We must also add that, details of this whole debt issue with the footballer are somewhat sketchy and we would be following the story to get more details and what really happened.

Michael Essex has played for top clubs including Lyon, Chelsea, Real Madrid and AC Milan.
