The Spokesperson for the Kantanka family and the Kristo Asafo Church, Nana Kakari, has disclosed that all attempts by the family of the late Apostle Emeritus Dr. Kwadwo Safo to see his mortal remains after his passing, as tradition demands, have failed.
Speaking to a group of media men after the family was granted an injunction, Nana Kakari bemoaned the behaviour of Adwoa Safo, who has decided not to let any family member of the man, including her own siblings, see his body several months after his passing.
He disclosed that when the family kept pushing, Adwoa Safo told them it was President Mahama who had access to where the body was being kept, and that even she could not go there unauthorised. She therefore promised to write a letter to the President to make their request known to him.
Eeeeei Adwoa, how can the President be the one holding the keys to a family’s mortal remains? Why put this on the First Gentleman? The Presidency has to release a statement on this one, because if this claim is true, Ghanaians deserve an explanation, and if it is not, then someone is using the President’s name to buy time.
