Nana Akua Addo’s husband, Harold Norman, has reacted to the allegations of DV against him by his wife, Nana Akua Addo through his lawyers, EBA Law Consult.
According to Harold, all the photos and videos released that show him involved in a DV with his wife are all calculated attempts to control the public narrative and garner public sympathy against the real facts of what really happened.
Harold argues that, Nana Akua sometime in 2021 st@bbed him after she accused him of infidelity and that was the third time she had done that to him and so most often he would report the matter to the police station but would end up withdrawing the cases again after her friends and family pleaded with him.

1.0 We write for and act as lawyers for Mr. Harold Duodu Norman, the husband of Nana Akua Addo (hereinafter referred to as “Our Client”).
2.0 Our client’s attention has been drawn to videos and photos of Nana Akua Addo with captions that insinuate the injury depicted in the said videos and pictures are as a result of alleged assault on her by our client.
3.0 It is instructive to clarify that the circulation of the videos and pictures are a well calculated attempt to control the public narrative and garner public sympathy against the real facts surrounding them which are the subject matter of criminal investigations before the Ghana Police Service Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) and civil proceedings in the case intituled: ROSEMOND AKUA ADOBEA VRS HAROLD DUODU NORMAN SUIT NO DM/0607/2026.
4.0 It is our client’s case that sometime in 2021, he went out for an event and upon his return, his estranged wife Nana Akua Addo accused him of infidelity as she has always done in the past and in the fits of rage attempted to stab him with a knife.
5.0 Note that this would be the third time Nana Akua Addo had stabbed him in the course of their marriage amidst destruction of household items and inflicting injuries on members of the household when she is angry. Most of these violent incidents were reported by our client to the Police at Nmai Dzorn, Spintex, East Legon among others. All of these criminal complaints of violence were withdrawn by our client following several pleas from her friends and family in other to protect her public image as “a star” and for the sake of the children of the marriage.
A. In the course of defending himself on the fateful day and in fear of his life, our client chanced upon a dressing mirror with wooden cladding and used same to block the knife that Nana Akua Addo had swung to stab him in the chest with. In the process, the knife hit the mirror, broke it into pieces and a shred of the mirror hit her lip in the milieu resulting in her injury. It is therefore categorically false that our client assaulted her leading to the injury as she is speculating online.
B. Our client immediately rushed her to the hospital for treatment but very typical of her, she recorded the incident and its aftermath only to release same 5 years after the said incident to elicit public sympathy now that the parties are in court. This is a well calculated sponsored campaign to cover up the long years of abuse that our client, their children, extended family and house help have suffered at the hands of Nana Akua Addo over the past 14 years that they have been together.
C. The videos and pictures are all the subject matter of both criminal and civil actions currently before the courts and the Ghana Police Service DOVVSU where Nana Akua Addo has been on the run from investigators since July 2026 following a complaint of domestic violence inflicted on the children of the marriage by Nana Akua Addo. It is instructive to state that medical doctors have in the past recommended that she requires serious psychiatric evaluation as a result of the injuries she inflicts on members of the household including her own children, house helps when angry.
D. To the extent that the matters as recounted above are the subject matter of pending court cases our client has elected to restrain himself from responding to the publicity to abide the decision of the court.
E. We thus urge the media to be circumspect in their reportage and commentary on the matter.
