In an unusual and widely discussed turn of events in India’s Uttar Pradesh state, a man identified as Babloo from the Sant Kabir Nagar district made headlines after choosing a peaceful path in response to his wife’s extramarital affair.
Babloo and his wife, Radhika, had been married since 2017 and share two children aged seven and nine. However, due to Babloo’s work-related travels, Radhika reportedly developed a long-term relationship with a younger man from their village.
The affair came to light after Babloo’s family informed him of the situation. Despite initial efforts to reconcile and save the marriage, Babloo was ultimately unable to convince Radhika to end the relationship.
Rather than engage in conflict, he made a decision that many have described as both unconventional and dignified.
Babloo proceeded to officially arrange for his wife to marry her lover. The new union was formalized through a legal process followed by a traditional temple ceremony, during which Radhika and her partner exchanged garlands and vows in Babloo’s presence.
A video from the ceremony, which has since gone viral, shows Radhika in tears as the marriage is solemnized — with Babloo quietly observing. His only request was to retain custody of their two children, a condition Radhika agreed to.
