TV personality Berla Mundi, who garnered recognition for her outstanding speech at the recently finished Global Citizen NOW event, has returned to Ghana.
While in the studios of TV3 during the show New Day, her colleague asked her about her experience in the US and whether she had ever experienced dumsor, or blackouts after she left Ghana.
In response, Berla Mundi disclosed that there had been a power outage at Kotoka International Airport shortly before the flight.
Berla said thankfully, the authorities at the airport relied on an external power source that also ran the aircraft’s engines.
She clarified that for the plane’s engines to start moving, they need outside power sources in the event of dumsor.
In conclusion, Berla stated that even though there was a brief power outage, there was no inconvenience because there was another external power supply available.
