Ghanaian actor and TV personality, Akwasi Boadu, known professionally as Akrobeto has explained why he chooses to ignore some Ghanaians who make fun of him and ask him to go for surgery to change the shape and size of his nose.
Akrobeto responded to the taunting by jokingly stating that he finds it funny that someone else could be upset by the size of his nose.
He said in jest that no one else need be concerned because his large nose permits him to breathe in “extra air” than the normal person.
“I breathe easily… I cannot get sick. I don’t even need oxygen at the hospital. I can really breathe lots of air. My nose doesn’t choke. I would rather eat at the chop bar (local restaurant) with the money.
“No matter what, you will die in life… it’s okay to look good, but you can die anytime. No one can escape death. You will definitely grow, you cannot stop ageing.
What didn’t Michael Jackson do? But where is he now? Gone,” he said during the last edition of Real News on UTV.
Similarly, Akrobeto gained attention by stating that life does not solely revolve around speaking impeccable English. He challenged his critics by questioning the significance of English proficiency if it does not contribute to one’s sustenance.
In his view, life is about harnessing one’s inherent talents, excelling in them, and reaping the benefits.
He advocates for individuals to identify their unique abilities, monetize them, and leverage them for success, rather than conforming to societal expectations.
While he values education, he emphasizes that divine blessings and sheer determination, not education alone, are the keys to transforming one’s life.
“If you speak impeccable English and you are renting an apartment then what is the essence of your English Language? he questioned.
Akrobeto was speaking to Dororen Avio when he made these known.
