Eight players have been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Year award. Chelsea’s Cole Palmer made the cut, but there was no place for Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka.
Despite Chelsea having a somewhat underwhelming season, Cole Palmer has been a bright spot for the club, and at some point been in the conversation for the Premier League goal king award.
A dazzling debut season from our Cole. 💫
Palmer has also been nominated for the @PremierLeague Player of the Season award. 🥶😍

Even though Bukayo Saka missed out on the Premier League Player of the Year nomination, the youngster has helped Arsenal’s charge this season.
Arsenal and Manchester City are not just going head-to-head for the Premier League title, but they will also do it in the Premier League Player of the Year award after each team bagged two nominations for the award.
Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice have been nominated for the award from the camp of the Gunners, while, Manchester City also bagged two nominations with Phil Foden and Erling Haaland nominated for the award.
Other nominees are Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak, Liverpool captain, Virgil van Dijk and Champions League-chasing Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins.
Perhaps the surprise omission from the nominees for the Premier League Player of the Year is 16-goal Bukayo Saka, who is Arsenal’s top-soccer this season.
Eight outstanding nominees, but there can only be one winner…
